Year 1964-1990 Exploded View # 24 Replaces the OEM snap ring that holds the intermediate sprag and outer race in place on the drum. In high rpm performance applications the factory snap ring can expand and come out of the groove. The spiral lock is double wound to prevent this from happening. This is the same spiral lock we use in our drums.
